21 semanas / 21 weeks
Hola bellas!

Beauties! I think I'll be dedicating a corner of the blog to Pregnancy, as I've noticed that many of you have commented that you are pregnant too! This first post is to let you know about my experience during the first months of my pregnancy, but I realize everyone's experiences are very different.

In my case, I haven't had any symptoms since the start, and if it wasn't for my little bump, I wouldn't even notice! When I realized I had sore breasts and bad mood, I thought it was just my usual monthly cycle, so I didn't give it much thought. I felt quite tired, but I've always been quite a sleeper, so that wouldn't have been a sign either. However, the type of 'tiredness' was different and that's when I started to wonder...

A:"venga bájate"-
M:"no, vete tú"-
A:"no, yo no, vete tú"-
M:¿Como voy a ir a yo?"-
A:"¿Y como voy a ir yo?"-
M:"Que vayas ya pesaaaaado"-
A:"Venga, no te pongas bobita y bájate tú"

It took us two weeks to go to a chemist to buy a pregnancy test, as neither of us dared. I finally did one day, and I came out with a pack of aspirins- how pathetic! Finally we were so intrigued that after a day at the beach (this day- click!) I asked Arturo to stop at the pharmacy. Our dialogue in the car:
A: "Come on, get out of the car"
M: "No, you go"
A: "No, not me, you go"
M: "How am I going to go?"
A: "And how am I going to go?"
M: "Oh, come on!?"
A: "Come on, don't be silly and you go"

.. Well, we were laughing because we were both so nervous. Finally, I won, and he went, hehe.

I never imagined that I'd be pregnant. I went to the bathroom, took the test and 15 seconds later I was in awe.. Not sure how long I stayed in the bathroom, but it feels like an eternity, looking at those two little lines and thinking.. "maybe this one is faulty?". After a while, I left the restroom and told Arturo, with a very confused expression on my face that he was going to be a father. Like I mentioned on my last pregnancy post (click!), I was very confused for 2 weeks, but after that, all the negative feelings have been replaced with happiness!

Before taking the test, and even after, I've continued living my life in pretty much the same way. In regards to exercise... During the first six weeks I was doing cross fit and situps like crazy, and nothing happened obviously, because I had no idea I was pregnant. My mum was a little worried as she knew how much exercise I had been doing, but everything was fine. I can obviously keep working out, but I changed what I do slightly.. I'm not doing crossfit anymore, but I'm going to zumba and pilates and doing some treadmill and lifting, but I can talk more about this in a different post (if you like!)

Weight: the first three months I didnt gain any weight, the fourth month I lost some and now i'm back to where I started. That's why I can still wear my normal clothes. My jeans still close and I think some of them will continue to close even later in my pregnancy as they are quite low and stretchy. For those who have a bigger belly, we can also dedicate a post to maternity clothing, or at least talk about how to get more out of your normal clothes during pregnancy.

This is all for now. These were things I wanted to tell you about and soon I'll share the sex of the baby :0) For all those preggy ladies out there reading my posts, please send me comments about what you want, or things you'd like to discuss. I think this could be a good place for us to share experiences, during and after pregnancy

A big kiss to you all and see you again next week!
